Hi, I was doing a writing exercise translating "So that all was ready on time." The correct answer was "Pour que tout soit prêt à temps,"' and not "'Pour que tout soit prêt à l'heure." Why is it better to use à temps in this sentence?

Hi Diane,
Those two expressions are indeed very close in meaning just as in English.
I like the sentence -
J'arrive à temps pour être à l'heure = I arrive in time to be on time

There is little difference between à temps or à l'heure. Often, à l'heure is used when a specific time is given, meaning something like "on time", whereas à temps would be "in time".
