What is the difference between « cet costume vous va bien » and « cet costume vous convient »?

Thank you for your question! I noticed you wrote 'cet costume'. It should be ‘ce costume' because ‘costume’ starts with a consonnant and not a vowel or mute h.

Cet appartement =this flat 
Ce manteau = this coat

Coming back to your actual question...
‘Convenir à’ is more used in a context such as ‘appropriate for’

Ce costume vous convient pour votre travail = this suit is appropriate for your work
Ce costume me convient pour mes cours de gymnastique = this suit is appropriate for my gym lesson

‘Aller à’ is used in a context such as to fit/suit along with a pleasing feeling.
Ce costume vous va bien = this suit fits you well (and is pleasing to look at on you)
