Indirect pronouns

For this sentence:

Je ferai parvenir le dossier à Jean Des que possible. The answer is je lui ferai parvenir le dossier Des que possible.

But when I have Je ferai parvenir ce document  à   votre avocat it translates to Je le lui ferai parvenir.

Can someone help me?

Thank you

Hi Nicole,

You can say -

Je le lui ferai parvenir = I'll send it to him

for both sentences, you quote.

In the first sentence -

'le' will replaces 'le dossier' and 'lui' replaces 'Jean'.

In the second sentence -

'le' replaces 'ce document' and 'lui' 'votre avocat'.

Hope this helps!

Let's identify the various parts of the sentences.

The construction is an example of "faire causatif" where "le dossier" and "ce document" are direct objects and "Jean" and "votre avocat" are indirect objects.

Je lui ferai parvenir le dossier  --> I will have the file reach Jean ...(to Jean) indirect

Je le lui ferai parvenir  --> I will have it get to your lawyer   --> it - direct,   your lawyer - indirect

Thank you Jim and Cécile

Cécile thank you I understand that what your saying is direct objects go before indirect unless it's the third person. But when you have two verbs and one is conjugated the indirect object and direct objects go before the conjugated verb? Am I correct?
