I still can't wrap my head around when you use the subjonctif passé instead of the subjonctif présent. Can someone please give me a couple more examples?

Hi Chev,
J'ai attendu jusqu'à ce que tu aies lu la lettre = I waited until you'd read the letter
J'ai attendu jusqu'à ce que tu te sois endormi = I waited until you'd fallen asleep
