Placements of "Pendant que"

This sentence for example:

Tu feras tes devoirs pendant que je ferai la vaisselle.

vs

Pendant que tu feras tes devors, je ferai la vaiselle.

Are both of them the same? (that I could use it either at the beginning of the sentence or in the middle to join the two sentences.)

Does the same rule also apply to some other words like "alors que" "tandis que" ?

The 2 sentences have a subtly different translation/meaning - you will do your homework, while I (will) do the dishes v While you (will) do your homework, I will do the dishes. Notwithstanding that, I think both versions would be correct French  Quand/pendant que + future tense (Le Futur Simple) - not the present tense = When/while I do something in the future (Sequence of Tenses in French) %252Fsearch%253Fs%253Dpendant%252Bque
