tiny hands / to grab

tiny hands / to grab

Instead of "avec ses mains minuscules" for "with his tiny hands", could you also say "avec ses toutes petites mains" ?

And

instead of the verb "attraper" could i have used "se saisir de" and said "il s'est saisi de mon pouce" ?

Hi Anita,

I think Aurélie used 'minuscules' not to repeat the petite used with 'tête'. Avoiding repetitions is drilled into us at French school! but your suggestion would otherwise be correct.

The verb, 'se saisir de'  doesn't work here, as it means to grab or to seize something for yourself.

'saisir' is to get hold of something but too formal here for a baby.

I hope this helps!
