According to this lesson, "Marie a manqué l'école." should translate to "School misses Marie." But in the quiz, the correct answer is "Marie didn't go to school."
When I click on the Learn and Discuss button, it redirects me to the "manquer (de)" page, which is not what is used in the original sentence (manquer à).
Wouldn't the proper translation be "Marie a manqué d'école"? Help is appreciated.

This use of 'manquer' is not from this lesson. It would be something like -
It is a more forward use of 'manquer ' meaning not to catch something.
J'ai manqué le début du film = I have missed the beginning of the film
J'ai manqué mon train = I have missed my train
There are other synonym verbs rater or louper used more colloquially.

Worthwhile rereading the lesson on ‘manquer (de)’ - it is the first part of that lesson that is relevant here.
That section refers to ‘missing something’ as in ‘fail to attend/fail to catch’ etc - which is the context of your example.
The (de) in the title may be misleading you, as it refers only to the 2nd part of the lesson, when wishing to express the ‘lack of something’.
The example is correctly worded and the link is the correct one to understand the reasoning.
Manquer à is for ‘ emotional ‘ missing.
