Just wondering when to use il faut que + subjunctive verb as opposed to the former lesson where il faut was used without que + subjunctive verb? It seems to translate roughly the same?
When to use 'que' with il faut?

When to use 'que' with il faut?
This question relates to:French lesson "Il faut que + the subjunctive mood (Le Subjonctif) in French"
Asked 5 months ago
Bonjour M,
The subjunctive mood is triggered when there is the need to express: wish, emotion, doubt, interrogative, negation or in some general polite statements.
Otherwise, using falloir can be appropriate in the absence of the above situations as (for example) "Il faut un piquet tous les 100 metres" --> A stake is needed every 100 metres.
