I was wondering when using être or avoir in the sentence below does it determine like it does when you use it in the idiomatic expressions?
L'étudiant n'est pas en classe. Il Sera encore endormi.
The student is not in class. He is probably still asleep
Cause I don't see the aura used here so I was wondering if it's similar when we learn about the idiomatic expressions.

Il sera encore endormi. In this sentence, sera is used as the main verb and not an auxiliary verb, because endormi (even though formally a participle) is used as an adjective here: "He will still be asleep."
Maybe we also need to explain that the future tense in French can be used to mean that we think something is probably true now. We also do this in English, but I think it's less common in American English, so not everyone may be familiar with this. It could also be translated as "He must still be asleep", to make the meaning clearer.
